In a statement on Tuesday, WAEC revealed that the examination will adopt a hybrid mode, with both computer-based and paper options available.
Candidates will answer objective or multiple-choice questions on-screen, while essay and practical questions will also be displayed digitally but answered in traditional answer booklets.
WAEC clarified that candidates who prefer the traditional Paper-and-Pen mode will have the option to take the entire exam using that method.
To accommodate more participants, the registration period has been extended to Tuesday, October 29, 2024.
Also, WAEC will offer a “Walk-in Candidate” option, allowing candidates to register up to 24 hours before the specific paper they intend to take. The final timetable for the exam is available on the WAEC Nigeria website.
The Council encouraged candidates to utilise the learning resources available on its platforms, including the WAEC e-Study platform and the WAECKonnect community, where candidates can interact with peers. WAEC also recommended purchasing Past Questions and Answers books to enhance preparation.
“WAEC wishes all candidates success in their examinations,” the statement read, adding that the Council is committed to using technological innovations to improve service delivery for all stakeholders.
