Among the ministers relieved of their duties are Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye (Minister of Women Affairs), Lola Ade-John (Minister of Tourism), Jamila Bio Ibrahim (Minister of Youth Development), Tahir Mamman (Minister of Education), and Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo (Minister of State, Housing and Urban Development).
In a statement, the Presidency also announced key new appointments. Shehu Dikko was appointed as Chairman of the National Sports Commission, while Sunday Akin Dare was named Special Adviser to the President on Public Communication and Orientation, reporting through the Ministry of Information and National Orientation.
