The grand plan to blackmail and tarnish the image of the respected crowned Prince Of Isheri Olofin Kingdom, Prince Idris Balogun, a.k.a Oluomo Kafata, by self-acclaimed pastors and couple from Ghana, Mercy Otabil and her husband, over allegations of land grabbing has backfired in Lagos State......See Full Story>>.....See Full Story>>
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the land, which Mrs. Otabil alleged that Oluomo grabbed was false, as the person who sold the land, Miss Hannah Ekaette Peter has confirmed that Prince Balogun legitimately bought the land and every land documents as the buyer were issued to him.
Thus, Prince Balogun has now threatened to institute a law suit for defamation of his character and may claim millions of Naira as damages for their malicious publication against him on the social media.
The crux of the matter is that Mrs. Otabil along with her husband, has been involved in a landed property dispute located at 25, Powerline Road, Egbe-Idimu Isheri. The property, among several others, belongs to late Rev. Ufot Peter Iwud, Hannah Ekaette, Peter-Ajayi’s late father.
After Rev. Iwud’s demise, according to our investigation and information gathered, Pa Ufot had 11 children with properties enough for each of them. Other siblings have sold some of these properties bequeathed to them and continued to do so without Hannah E. Peter-Ajayi’s knowledge, as she had been gifted the property in question.
Affirming that she sold the land to Oluomo, Miss Hannah Ajayi contended, “It will interest you to know that my late father initially willed the property to my mother and also settled all of his children including me but our mother later transferred ownership of the property to me, as I was her primary caregiver. All my siblings are aware of this arrangement, which is why I’ve been solely responsible for managing the property over the years. They’ve never questioned how I run the place or handled the tenancy for over 13 years.”
“I’ve operated a school on this property for a long time, so it’s surprising that they’re suddenly contesting this. What’s changed remains a mystery,’ she queried.
Last year, Mercy Otabil approached Ajayi regarding the land, and they agreed on a price. However, she requested leniency on the payment mode, which was to be in tranches. Ajayi received 12,000,000 Naira in three installments, but Mercy later demanded a refund, disregarding the commission and expenses incurred during the transaction. Ajayi refunded 12,000,000 Naira, contrary to the 11,000,000 Naira stated in a libelous online publication, which attempted to blackmail and tarnish Prince Idris Balogun’s image.
In a surprising twist, Mercy, accompanied by Ajayi’s siblings, harassed Ajayi’s staff and kids, seized their phones, and physically assaulted Ajayi. The incident escalated to the Police station.
Ajayi added, “It’s surprising that my siblings, some of whom have sold our father’s properties, are now involved. How can the 9th child out of 11 possess documents, while older siblings do not? This shows our father settled everyone, which is indeed the fact, and they all know.”
“Their threats have become unbearable, and for my safety and my kids’, I decided to sell the property and move on. I placed an advert through my agent, and Prince Idris Balogun, Oluomo Kafata of Alimosho, purchased the land after careful investigation and several meetings. He is knowledgeable about land business and wouldn’t engage in shady deals, considering his social status.”
“He bought the land from me through proper business engagement, not force. Bringing his name into this matter is a grand plot to tarnish his reputation, which won’t stand the test of time,” Ajayi said.
The confirmation by Ajayi did not only exonerate Oluomo from the issue about grabbing the land, it confirmed that he actually transacted legitimate business over the property in question.
