In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke instructed the attorney general to ensure the young man is considered for the prerogative of mercy before the end of the year.
“Osun is a land of justice and equity. We must ensure fairness and protection of the sanctity of lives,” Adeleke emphasized.
He reassured the public that the issue would receive his personal attention, emphasizing the urgency of the state’s response as a responsible government.
