In Ogun State, the Olorile of Orile-Ifo, Oba Semiu Ogunjobi, was suspended for six months after a disturbing incident on January 21, 2025, went viral. The Oba publicly humiliated Chief Areola Abraham, an Oloye, during a dispute over a title. In a video that surfaced last week, the Oba was seen slapping, insulting, and forcing Abraham to kneel and prostrate in front of him.
