As he rejoices with Nigerians as the country celebrates its 64th Independence Anniversary on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.
It could be recalled that Nigeria got its independence from the Colonial Master, Great Britain on October 1, 1960.
Abidikugu, a United Kingdom based Psychiatric Consultant said he believes that with God – given natural resources Nigeria is destined.to be among the World powers.
Abidikugu who was a PDP House of Representatives Aspirant in the 2023 general election and who is known for his Philanthropist activities urges Ibadan and the entire residents of Oyo State to continue to live in peace and harmony.
He further urged the people to cooperate with Governor Seyi Makinde so that he can continue to navigate the ship of the state well.
Abidikugu said in the statement said, “I use the occasion of our country’s 64th Independence Anniversary to felicitates with our people in Ibadan, Oyo State and the country as whole.
“As we celebrate, let us maintain decorum and live in peace with one another. Things may look difficult now, but I believe with our prayers for the political leaders, God will change the current time of hardship to that of surplus.
“I also use this anniversary period to call on our leaders at the local, State and at the federal level to emulate the sacrifices, dedication and love for Nigerians exemplified by the country’s founding fathers.
“Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Tafawa Balewa, Ahmadu Bello, Chief Anthony Enahoro and Dr Nnamdi Azikwe among other founding fathers sacrifices to ensure the nation got independence in 1960.
“Our current political leaders should emulate these founding fathers by putting aside personal interest and put the interest of the nation at heart. With good leadership we will bounce to our rightful position among the countries of the World”.
