In continuation of its fight for justice over the death of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji-Aloba, a.k.a Mohbad, the Larry Omodia Foundation For Justice Reform (LOFF-JR) has taken its advocacy to the palace of the Aafin Ogoga of Ikere Kingdom, Oba Samuel Adejimi-Adu Alagbado, the paramount ruler of Ikere Kingdom in Ekiti State, the hometown of Mohbad......CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE READING>>>.....CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE READING>>>
Having been well received, the Foundation requested that the Oba use his revered office to engage the Inspector General of Police (IGP), on behalf of concerned citizens across the globe, to seek justice for Mohbad.
They urged the Agirilala II to compel and support their son, Joseph Aloba (Mohbad’s father), a son of the land, to perfect the DNA test as requested by the court and Nigerians.
Others include: Compelling Joseph Aloba to bury Mohbad and stop delaying his journey to the after-life; asking that the palace compel Joseph Aloba to come and invoke the spirit of Mohbad so that the world can know the truth of who killed him.
Finally, they urged the monarch to advise Joseph Aloba to desist from using the death of his son as an avenue to collect money from the public.
While stressing that culture be maintained at all times, Larry Omodia, CEO of LOFF-JR, noted that they believe that Joseph Aloba and the IGP would honour the throne when called upon by the office of His Royal Majesty.
“Today, on behalf of well-meaning Nigerians, both at home and in the diaspora, our Foundation has been sent to come here and beg the throne of Ikere land. We have come from Europe to Lagos and from Lagos to Ikere land to visit and plead with the palace of Ikere Ekiti.”
Responding to the request, Prof Babatola Olufemi, the Sapetu of Ikere Land, stated: “This is a matter that concerns us more than any person. How we wish Mohbad had been alive as a shining star. But, unfortunately, he has been snatched away by death.
“We have heard you. I will request, we will give you an address where you should post the demand. We will study it and see exactly where this kingdom can come in because Mohbad is our son.”
The Sapetu explained that though they had heard all the stories surrounding Mohbad’s death, the visit of the foundation to the monarch’s palace had brought it closer home, hence the need for intervention.
On the part of the Kabiyesi himself, the Ogoga of Ikere-Ekiti Land, he thanked the foundation for the sacrifice they and their group had been making on behalf of the ordinary people, not just for Mohbad, as according to him, he knew that was not their first advocacy job.
“Even before you arrived, we have discussed and we intend to get in touch with Mohbad’s father also. All our people also have deliberated on it and would take specific steps to address those requests. It’s rather unfortunate.”
He reminded them that beside Sade Adu, the international music star, whom he identified as a daughter of Ikere, they were hoping that another star was coming out from their kingdom. But, all the same, they had got over the pain.
“Now that all you are doing is really humanitarian and under the fear of God. God will continue to be with you and your group.”
