The movement’s coordinator, Akogun Iyiola Oyedepo, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, announced the campaign at a press briefing in Ilorin. Oyedepo emphasized that educating the electorate is essential for informed voting decisions in favour of leaders who prioritize Kwara’s progress and prosperity.

The KRM has started radio-based awareness campaigns across the state’s 193 wards, reaching out through various media channels. Oyedepo expressed that the state’s current leadership has not met the expectations of the people, and he stressed the need for a well-informed populace to guide Kwara’s political future.

Reflecting on past political movements, Oyedepo referenced the 2019 “O To Ge” campaign, underscoring the importance of choosing leaders genuinely committed to socio-economic development. He urged KRM members to remain resilient, avoid divisive tactics, and resist intimidation as they push for accountable governance in Kwara.

KRM’s goal is to establish leadership that can address citizens’ needs, particularly in rural areas. With a commitment to peaceful engagement, Oyedepo stated, “We don’t need guns or insults, only enlightenment and mobilization to achieve our aims.”
