Fellow thespian, Hilda Dokubo announced Irosanga’s death in an Instagram post on Thursday.
Sharing a photo of the deceased, Dokubo said, “There can’t be a shortage of Angels in heaven that the few here are called home like this na! This one is heavy on Uniport Rivers State Nollywood.”
Details of the actor’s demise were sketchy as of press time.
Irosanga gained prominence for playing native doctor roles, with notable films includingIsakaba(2001) and7 Kilometre(2015).
He was a senior lecturer at the Theatre Arts department at the University of Port Harcourt.
Irosanga clinched several awards, including Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Africa Movie Academy Awards), Best Actor in a Drama (City Peoples Entertainment Awards), Most Promising Actor in Nigeria (Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards), and Best Actor in a Leading Role (Best of Nollywood Awards).
Irosanga’s death follows that of Nollywood actress, Pat Ugwu at 35.
