The majority of people are unaware of this time. I’ll explain the time and provide evidence to support my claims.

Anything you ask for will be granted during this period, but many of us are in deep sleep during this time, missing out on many opportunities to ask for things.

It has been reported that the Prophet of Allah said (SAW)

says Allah, Our Lord, descends (in a manner befitting His Majesty) to the nearest heaven to us in this universe during the last third of the night and asks: ‘Is there anyone to call upon Me so that I may respond to him?’” (fulfill his prayer). Is there anyone who wishes to make a request of Me so that I may grant his request? There isn’t anyone out there who is seeking My forgiveness so that I may pardon him (and forgive his sins).” [According to Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

How to figure out what time it is in the last third of the night

The night begins with the setting of the sun and ends with the rising of the Fajri (i.e when they call to prayer in the morning). Let us say that the hours between 7 p.m. and 5:50 a.m. are ten hours and thirty minutes. If you divide it by three, you get three hours and thirty minutes. The last third of the night will now begin at 2:20 a.m. and end at 5:50 a.m. instead of at 2:20 a.m.
