Kwankwaso was quoted as saying he would win the 2027 election.

However, Atiku’s Special Adviser, Abdul Rasheeth, claims he was misquoted.

Rasheeth stated that Kwankwaso, in an interview conducted in Hausa, did not mention winning the 2027 presidential election. Instead, Kwankwaso expressed his commitment to ending the All Progressives Congress (APC) government in 2027.

“It’s important to note that Kwankwaso was clearly misquoted in that video. Nowhere did he mention winning the 2027 Presidential Election. I still believe he is one of the strong politicians who has Nigeria at heart and would be part of any arrangement to end the APC’s bad governance,” Rasheeth wrote on social media.

He called on followers of Kwankwaso to unite with supporters of Atiku to ensure APC’s removal in 2027.

The clarification comes after Kwankwaso’s statement sparked a reaction from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leadership, with National Publicity Secretary Debo Ologunagba describing Kwankwaso as a “failed and inconsequential politician.”
