Manchester United have made the right noises in the transfer market so far. They have made quality signings like Leny Yoro, Joshua Zirkzee, Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui but they don’t seem to be done yet. Over the past few days, the Red Devils have been linked with a transfer for out-of-favor Juventus forward Federico Chiesa and have already made an offer for him.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The Italian winger doesn’t feature in Thiago Motta’s plans for the season and has been placed on the transfer list.

As per SPORT, Chiesa is close to joining Spanish giants Barca but is also considering the offers from Man Utd and Chelsea given the registration complications that the La Liga club face. Juventus have sidelined him and are willing to let him leave for €14m.

Barcelona are also interested in signing AC Milan superstar Rafael Leao but the Serie A side consider him untransferrable. Everything points to the Catalan giants making a solid push for Chiesa, especially now they have managed to shift out Ilkay Gundogan.

The key to the operation is said to be the player’s contract expectation which is said to be around €6m per year. That translates to around £98,500 a week and it remains to be seen if Barcelona have the room in their wage bill to accommodate him.

Man Utd need to remain attentive to this situation even if Chiesa is close to a transfer to Barca. With the Catalan club, you never know and the Red Devils need to be ready to take advantage. The 26-year-old Italian winger would be a great addition to Erik ten Hag’s squad.

Once regarded as one of Italy’s biggest attacking prospects, Chiesa at his best can be unplayable. The last couple of seasons might not have been kind to him but he looked fit in the Euros and will be raring to go at his new club to show Juventus they are making a mistake letting him leave.

If the player goes to Barca so be it. However, if he is available on the market, Man Utd need to be ready to pounce and sign Chiesa this summer. Let’s see how the club goes about this particular transfer saga.
