There is some State in the south-South region where the Igbo language is spoken by the residents. Surprisingly, there are some states in the North Central region of Nigeria where they speak Igbo. This might because of the boundary they share with the Eastern region.
The two states, Benue and Kogi state shares boundaries with the Eastern region. While Anambra state shares boundaries with Kogi state, Enugu state shares boundaries with both Kogi and Benue states.

In Kogi State, the indigenous Igbos in the state can be found in communities like Akpanya and Eke Avurugo in Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area and also in Nwajala community in Ibaji Local Government Area.

According to the Nations Newspaper, there are no fewer than one million Igbos scattered in four local government areas of Benue State.
I am making these points to educate Nigerians across different regions and tribes that Nigeria is one and that our kinsmen spread across other regions in the country. We need to appreciate the unity in our diversity and join hands together to build this country and also stop the demand for the breakup of the country.
