Makinde gave these assurances in Ibadan on Wednesday during the groundbreaking ceremony for the upgrading of Ladoke Akintola Airport, Ibadan, to international standards.
The governor emphasized that both he and Governor Adeleke would back any decision taken by the Damagum-led NWC to strengthen the party.
“Even if we have internal differences, I don’t believe this is the right time for conflict,” Makinde stated. “We have a crucial election in Edo State on Saturday, and we need to unite and ensure the victory of our candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo.”
Addressing his absence at the PDP’s campaign grand finale in Benin, Makinde explained that he had prior commitments in Finland and Sweden before the campaign date was announced.
He reaffirmed his full support for the Edo PDP governorship candidate, Dr. Ighodalo, and urged the people of Edo to cast their votes for him as their next governor.
