This training targeted livestock farmers, youth, and MSMEs.

The programme aimed to equip participants with essential skills in budgeting fundamentals, financial reporting and analysis, accessing finance options, loans, grants, investments, and cash flow management.

Speaking in his remarks, State Coordinator Sirajo Abubakar of L-PRES said it’s a commitment to improving the standards of livestock farmers, helping them become self-reliant, and boosting the economy through the livestock sector.

He noted that before any intervention is provided, beneficiaries must receive training to understand the process and maximise profitability.

Abubakar also mentioned that numerous trainings have been conducted on livestock production to enhance the sector.

He encouraged the beneficiaries to apply what they have learnt and make the most of any intervention provided to ensure their success.

Participants were instructed on estimating costs for feed, veterinary care, labour, equipment, and other operational expenses, as well as projecting income from livestock, milk, and other products.

They were also taught to regularly update budgets, account for seasonal fluctuations, and incorporate contingency plans for unexpected costs.
