The 29-year-old weaved past three defenders before firing a powerful shot into the top corner, securing a crucial win for his team.

The Ligue de Football Professionnel, LFP has shortlisted five outstanding goals from December and January for the prestigious award, with Simon’s effort making the list alongside:
