Fubara emphasized the crucial role of the judiciary as the last hope for the masses to seek justice, and cautioned against compromising judicial proceedings. He commended the Chief Judge, Justice Simeon Chibuzor Amadi, and other judges for their steadfastness during the state’s recent political turbulence.

The governor assured the new judges of his administration’s support, pledging not to interfere with or influence judicial functions. Instead, he vowed to provide necessary resources to ensure the judiciary’s effectiveness.

Fubara reminded the judges that their appointment was a divine opportunity, urging them to work with the fear of God and uphold the principles of justice. He quoted the national anthem, emphasizing the need to build a country where no person is oppressed.

“I appeal to you to stand for what is right,” Fubara said. “When you compromise, you disappoint not just me, but the voiceless people who rely on the judiciary for justice.”
