Governor Uba Sani wrote on his verified Facebook page: “I wish to extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Muslim faithful in Kaduna State, Nigeria, and across the globe on the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan.
“I pray to Almighty Allah to bless you all and give you the strength to go through this major pillar of our faith.
“I enjoin us to use this period to reflect fully on the noble values of empathy, generosity, solidarity, brotherhood, and cooperation.
“This is the time to share food, love, time, and respect with the poor and needy in our society. Let us renew our relationship with Almighty Allah and ask for His mercy for our state and country.
“I call on all citizens of Kaduna State to pray fervently for the sustenance of the peace and unity prevailing in our dear state. We are one people, and our strength lies in our diversity. As a government, we shall continue to do all that is necessary to consolidate the peace in our state, revitalize our economy, and place it irreversibly on the path to growth and development.
“May the spirit of this holy month of Ramadan stay in our hearts and illuminate our souls.”
