Former Premier League star Peter Crouch has lavished praise on Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson, labeling the Senegal international “unbelievable” and worthy of more respect......See Full Story>>.....See Full Story>>
Jackson has made a blistering start to the season, scoring four goals in five Premier League games, including a double in Chelsea’s 3-0 win over West Ham.
Crouch, who netted 108 Premier League goals, highlighted Jackson’s impressive stats, noting that excluding penalties, he trailed only Erling Haaland last season.
“If you take penalties out of it, he’s ahead of Mo Salah… He’s right up there with so many technical players with ability and that have scored a lot of goals,” Crouch said.
Despite criticism for missing chances last season, Jackson still scored 14 goals in 35 league appearances.
Crouch believes Jackson deserves more respect from his doubters, saying:
“He probably needs a little bit more respect… He’s continued to get chances, and now he’s taking them. Hopefully, a good season for him.”
Jackson will look to add to his tally when Chelsea hosts Brighton & Hove Albion at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
With Crouch’s endorsement, the spotlight shines brighter on Jackson’s potential for a breakout season.
