Chief Akpeki, the Ugo of Okpe kingdom, who made the call in a statement he issued in Asaba, Delta State to welcome the Governor and the entire PDP leadership to the APC, described the governor’s action as a good omen and a better future for Delta and all Deltans.

According to Chief Akpeki, a former member of the House of Representatives and Constituent Assembly member, the historic move of the new defectors is in support of President Bola Tinubu’s transformative Agenda for Nigeria.

“This realignment for the continued support and commitment in consolidating the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President in Delta State will ensure the dividends of Democracy in the state.

“It is with immense pleasure and admiration that I join other APC members in the state to welcome His Excellency, Sheriff Oborevwori, His Excellency Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa and the entire PDP family to the APC.

“It is now obvious that with this development, there are better days ahead for Delta State,” he stated.
