The announcement was made on Thursday in Lagos during a stakeholders’ engagement session.
The NPA’s Managing Director, Abubakar Dantsoho, explained that the tariff increment was necessary due to significant economic changes over the years, including fluctuations in exchange rates, rising wages, and the increasing costs of fuel and lubricants.
Dantsoho, represented by Olalekan Badmus, the Executive Director of Marine and Operations, emphasized that the agency had maintained the same tariff rates for over three decades despite these economic challenges.
