Legit earlier reported that the nationwide blackout occurred on Monday, October 14.
In the latest development, Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) announced another national grid collapse on Tuesday, October 15.
This was announced via its X handle (formerly known as Twitter) @EKEDP.
Dear Valued Customer,
Kindly be informed there was a system collapse at 09:17hrs which has resulted in a loss of power supply across our network.
We are currently working with our partners as we hope for speedy restoration of the grid. We will keep you updated as soon as the power supply is restored.

Ikeja Electric also informed its customers about the collapse via its X handle, @IkejaElectric

FG finds solution to persistent national grid collapses
Legit earlier reported that the federal government of Nigeria kicked off plans to build a new infrastructure known as a super grid.
The initiative was part of the government’s attempt to put an end to the country’s incessant national grid collapses.
The minister of Power noted that the existing condition of the grid is insufficient for the future goals of the power sector.
