Narrating her ordeal, Mercy said that when she boarded the commercial Tricycle from Tudun Kauri Junction to her destination at Sabon Pegi that afternoon, something happened she can never explain.

“The Keke drove me past the junction I was to stop and I saw my father standing at the junction but could not say a word to the driver who was in the company of another young man,” she said.

“I was not sleeping but I could not say a word till I found myself in a place I do not know.

“They took me to a building where other young boys and girls like me are being assembled. Yet I could not say anything.”

Mercy, who said she was in trauma, could not fully express herself but was in tears. She said her abductors asked her to leave and pushed her out after spending three weeks and three days.

The mother said she was amazed when a call came that afternoon and she heard the voice of Mercy.

“When she told me she was Mercy I was afraid and said which Mercy and where are you.? The woman who gave her the phone replied she is with me in Kubwa and asked me to come and pick her up,” she said.

She explained that Mercy was roaming about the street in Kubwa and she offered to help her.

The mother said Mercy had been taken to the hospital for examination where she was confirmed to be in good health.
