Sheinbaum made this statement on Thursday in a social media post following what she described as an excellent and respectful phone call with Trump.

“We will continue to work together, particularly on migration and security issues,” she said.

DAILY POST reports that Trump announced a pause on tariffs against Mexico until 2 April.

According to Trump, the decision followed his discussion with President Claudia Sheinbaum of Mexico.

The US President stated that he had agreed that Mexico would not be required to pay tariffs on any goods covered under the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, USMCA.

Trump affirmed that his relationship with Sheinbaum has been a very good one and that they are working hard together to prevent illegal migrants from entering the United States.
