The announcement was made Wednesday in a press statement signed by the Head of Service, Paul Maigida Tino, confirming that the wage increase would begin this month.
“The governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, has approved the implementation of the N70,000 new minimum wage for workers in the state, effective November 2024,” the statement read.
With this adjustment, Taraba joins other Nigerian states taking proactive steps to offer a more sustainable wage for their employees.
