BREAKING: Immediate Account General, permanent secretary and others Suspended for misconduct in Bauchi

The resolution for the suspension was considered during the civil service Commission’s 1st Extraordinary sitting in the year on 30th September,2024 held at it’s conference Hall in Bauchi.

The Commission during the session reviewed the recommendations and other available documents on the affected Officers submitted by the Office of the State Head of Civil Service which recommended appropriate disciplinary actions against the Officers.

The Commission suspended them under Section 0331 of the Bauchi State Public Service Regulations to give room for further investigation since the matter is currently with the relevant constituted authorities.

The Permanent Secretaries suspended were former accountant general of Bauchi state Sa’idu Abubakar and Danjuma Garba as well as Bala Ibrahim Sabo, a Chief Executive Officer (Account).

They are currently attached to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, Ministry of Higher Education and Ministry of Natural Resources respectively.

In his remarks during the meeting the Chairman of the Commission Alh. Abubakar Usman Madakin Bunun Bauchi, warned the State Public/Civil Servants to adhere to the rules of engagement in the conduct and discharge of their responsibilities for better results.

Alh. Abubakar reiterated the Commission’s efforts and determination in sanitizing the State Civil Service.

This medium learnt that, the Bauchi state government is receiving commendations for the great work in strengthening the record clear against enermies of the state, who are too selfish and corrupt.

Pundits, were of unanimous happy for the decision especially against the former AG, who doesn’t complement the legacy projects of the government.
