The former members, from the 1st to the 9th Assembly also observed the day’s plenary session presided over by the new Speaker.
They were unanimous in expressing their support for the new Speaker and the newly elected Principal Officers, assuring them of their commitment to their efforts in moving the Assembly forward and restoring its glory.
An elated Rt Honourable Meranda described the visit as not only nostalgic but also reassuring.
“We appreciate their presence, support and valuable advice. It is our joy to know that we have great predecessors like them and that we can always count on them, all the time.
We thank them for their service to the great State and People of Lagos and pray for good health and long life on their behalf,” the Speaker said via a post on Facebook page.
Past members on the visit included but not limited to: Hon. Yahaya Dosunmu, Hon. Rasheed Fashina, Hon. Omotayo Oduntan, Hon. SOK Aro, Hon. John Ogunkoya, Hon. Joseph Bamgbose, Hon.
