The La Liga title contenders have been keeping an eye on Silva, who is still committed to Wolves but has shone this season on loan at Las Palmas. The 22-year-old has seven goals and two assists in 17 Spanish top-tier matches in 2024/25, demonstrating the potential that Wolves signed him to unlock.
According to the Portuguese publication Record, Atletico has formally shown interest in signing Silva and is considering making a serious attempt to do so before the start of the next season. Los Colchoneros have yet to make a bid for Silva, but the Wolves have declared that they are open to hearing any forthcoming offers.
Silva was signed by the Old Gold from Porto for a then-club record sum of £35 million in 2020, but he has failed to live up to expectations at Molineux. Silva has only five goals and six assists in 72 games, many of which have come off the bench, and his yellow card total matches the number of times he has found the back of the net.
Fast forward to midway through the 2023/24 campaign and Silva was leading the line for Rangers in the Scottish Championship, albeit mainly as an impact substitute. The 22-year-old made somewhat of a mark as he scored six times in 25 outings for the Glaswegian club before returning to the West Midlands in the summer.
