The All Progressives Congress APC has vowed to reclaim Adamawa state from the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in the 2027 Governorship election.
Chairman of the APC Reconciliation Committee for Adamawa State, Senator Muhammed Mana, disclosed this shortly after meeting with the Dr Abdullahi Ganduje-led National Working Committee NWC of the party in Abuja.
The state chapter has recently witnessed divisions which led the NWC to set up of a reconciliation committee to unite the party.
The eight-member reconciliation team includes prominent politicians such as Senators Bello Tukur, Abubakar Girei, and Binta Masi, as well as Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakubu, Dr. Bridget Zidon, and Barr. Isa Baba, who serves as Secretary.
Speaking after a closed door meeting at the APC national secretariat in Abuja, Senator Mana said the team was tasked by Dr Ganduje to resolve internal disputes and unify members.
According to him, the committee would focus on engaging aggrieved members, rebuilding grassroots connections, and strengthening the party’s structure.
He said; “Our intention is to make sure that everybody comes back. That is why we are starting very early. The 2027 election is about two or three years to go. So, that is why we are starting very early to go down to all the nooks and crannies of Adamawa State to woo people back.
“Adamawa is a critical state, and we are committed to ensuring APC wins majority seats in 2027. We will reach out to those who felt sidelined during the primaries and general elections to unify the party under the APC banner.”
The committee plans to start its efforts immediately by engaging party members at the unit, ward, and local government levels.
“Our goal is to create a platform for unity and prepare the next generation of leaders,” Mana said.
On her part, Senator Binta Masi expressed confidence in the committee’s efforts, adding; “The battle line has been drawn, and by Allah’s grace, we will replicate our past successes in 2027.”
