Abbas Kanani, who works at Chemist Click, says being really tired, having a cough that won’t go away, and sweating a lot at night could be warning signs of cancer. The chemist said that heavy smokers
often cough in the morning – but if you’re still coughing after two weeks, you should talk to a doctor, even if you don’t smoke.

Feeling super tired in the morning can also be a bad sign, especially if it’s not normal for you or you feel tired all day long. Mr Kanani told the Express: “It’s normal to feel a little tired in the morning, but if this is not usual for you, or you are noticing fatigue lasting throughout the day, you should get this checked out.”

Another sign to watch for is if you sweat so much at night that your bed gets wet. You might not even know it’s happening. Mr Kanani said: “Get this checked out with your GP, especially if night sweats are accompanied by fatigue, weight loss or bruising.”
According to the NHS, there are also other signs of cancer which can present themselves at any time of the day. Cancer Research UK suggests that you can greatly reduce your chances of getting cancer by changing some of your habits like smoking or drinking.
The UK’s leading cancer charity said on its site that stopping smoking is the “biggest preventable cause of cancer in the UK, and worldwide”. According to them, the link between smoking and cancer “is very clear”. “It causes at least 15 different types of cancer,” the charity said, “including two of the most common, lung and bowel cancer”.

Cancer Research stressed that no amount of smoking was safe. Cutting back on alcoholic drinks could also help lessen your risk of cancer.
They said: “Alcohol causes seven types of cancer, including breast, mouth and bowel cancer. Whatever your drinking habits, cutting down will reduce your risk.”
