The letter reads:

” I address you today not just as a concerned member of this great party, but as one who has dedicated his sweat and life to the progress and stability of our nation. The recent outbursts by Nyesom Wike, former Governor of Rivers State, and the lame-duck responses by the leadership are nothing short of a disgrace to the principles and discipline that our party stands for.

It is astonishing, and frankly, disheartening, to witness a figure within our party publicly challenge the authority and structure that have nurtured his political career from its very inception. To openly defy the leadership and insult the BOT Chairman and fellow members with vitriolic language, branding them as “vampires,” is a level of indiscipline that cannot be tolerated in any sane clime.

And I ask, where is the ķòbòķò and conscience of the party?

While we recognize the importance of Reconciliation Committees, it is high time the PDP enforced it’s Disciplinary Rules with an iron fist. We cannot allow a few ‘joiners’ and individuals, drunk on their own egos, to tarnish the image and unity of the party. Politics, like any other commitment, is a voluntary endeavor, if a member is dissatisfied, they are free to leave, but they must not be allowed to dismantle the party we built with hardwork, sweat, and tears, when some of them were still freshmen.

Few days ago, The PDP came perilously close to losing one of our Governors, and strategically priced states to the opposition, all because of the overbearing arrogance of one man who seems to believe he is above the law and above the party. Such behavior is unacceptable and must be met with swift and decisive action. If those who brought him to power had acted in the same manner, he would have had no foundation to stand on.

The PDP must wake up. Our members are growing weary, concerned and impatient, and unless we instill discipline and unity within our ranks, we risk losing responsible members to other parties. Our patience stems primarily from the fact we knew ab-initio of the evil machination to destroy the party, having openly worked against the interest of the party and it’s Presidential candidate in 2023, thereby denying the party the right to provide credible leadership to the country. We must not aid and abet the retrograde. Time is of the essence, and indeed running out.

Now, more than ever, we must return to the 1999 era, band together, not just within the PDP but with our allies in other opposition parties. We must act now with resolve and determination to protect the integrity of our party and the future of our country”.

Long live the PDP
