In a recent Facebook post, Igbokwe reaffirmed his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating that Tinubu would retain the presidency beyond 2027. According to him, efforts are currently underway to rebuild Nigeria, making it imperative for Tinubu to continue his leadership to complete this mission.

He wrote, “Those of you scheming and dreaming for 2027 should go and rest. There is no vacancy in Aso Rock until PBAT clears the huge and monumental Augean Stable that has accumulated for years now. Nigeria is being reworked to work again.”

This statement comes amid growing speculation about a potential alliance between the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the last election, Atiku Abubakar, and his Labour Party counterpart, Peter Obi. The rumored coalition aims to unseat Tinubu in the next presidential election.

Igbokwe’s remarks highlight the APC’s confidence in Tinubu’s administration and their determination to maintain power, despite the opposition’s attempts to challenge his presidency. As the 2027 election draws closer, these political developments are likely to intensify, setting the stage for another fierce battle for Nigeria’s top office.
