Edo Governor Presents N605bn Budget Estimate For 2025

In the document, the governor put the budget estimate as N605,076,065,857.34 billion and discribed it as a product of wide consultations.

The figure which surpassed the 2024 budget by 25 percent also indicated that N223 billion, representing 37 percent, will be dedicated to recurrent expenditure

Similarly, the sum of N381 billion, representing 63 percent of the total budget would be channeled to capital projects.

Continuing, Okpebholo said the appropriation bill “will ensure accountability and transparency in governance for responsive service delivery to the people of Edo state.”

The Edo governor noted that the budget is designed to achieve the goals of my five-point agenda. Which includes, security, infrastructural development, healthcare, food sufficiency and education.

He added, “We have appropriated N162 billion for road development across the State and the sum of N48bn for tertiary institutions.

“On healthcare, N63.9 billion has been earmarked for 2025 fiscal year, out of which, N1.8 billion has been set aside for Health Insurance.”
