The Peoples Democratic Party has named Chief Joseph Obama as Chairman Campaign Council for Irepodun local government ahead of September 21 council polls in Kwara State. The PDP Kwara South Senatorial Chairman, Sir Comrade Bisi Fakayode, Chief Kola Adewumi and other Party elders graced the event.
PDP stakeholders in their remarks noted that the local government administration in Kwara has been in shadow of death since the inception of the APC administration led by by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
“The real developments starts from the grassroot and the governor unanimously had crippled all the functional past local governments activities set in place by the PDP.
September 21st 2024 should be embraced with the aim of emancipating the developments back to the grassroot. It’s in this view that every legitimate voters needs to support PDP by ensuring the victory of the party.”
Earlier, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairmanship candidate for Irepodun Local Government Area, Hon. Ahmed Olalekan Alabi (OLOBI) donated support fund to all the eleven PDP Councillorship candidates in Irepodun Local Government.
Hon. Ahmed Olalekan Alabi said the fund will help them energize and canvass support for the Party ahead of next month local government elections.
