Atiku Mourns As Ex-PDP Chairman Dies In Abuja

Atiku, in a condolence message released by his media office in Abuja on Monday, described the late Gwagwa as a formidable pillar of the PDP.

According to the statement, “Alhaji Gwagwa will remain a pivotal figure in the history of our great party; his memory shall continue to inspire us about the sacrifices of great people who birthed the PDP,” Atiku said.

Continuing, the PDP 2023 presidential candidate told members of the party in the North Central Zone and generally that “there is a lot of lesson in his (Gwagwa’s) extraordinary life as a patriotic leader and a community leader.”

Atiku expresses his condolences to the PDP family in the FCT and the national body of the party while praying that the soul of the deceased be granted into Aljannah Firdaus.

Meanwhile, Aiku has disclosed that he could not celebrate his 70th birthday because he lost some of his family members in the same year.

According to him, he lost two younger brothers, his father and uncle.

Atiku revealed this during a thanksgiving service held at the Methodist Church Nigeria, Cathedral of Unity, Wuse, Zone 3 for the 80th birthday of a former Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Onyema Ugochukwu.

He explained that he was the first out of his siblings to attain the age of 70, just as he acknowledged God’s faithfulness in his life, and promised to continue to serve God and humanity more than ever before.
