President Bola Tinubu has reportedly directed the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje to convene a meeting of the National Executive Committee, NEC, of the party.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The NEC ratifies the National Working Commission’s decisions on key issues, and where necessary, subjects them to the national convention, which is the highest organ, for final decisions.
The APC constitution provides that NEC meetings should be held quarterly to brainstorm and review developments in the party, with a view to ensuring its progress and stability
This was contained in a letter signed by his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, dated August 9th.
The meeting according to the letter should be scheduled between September 8th and September 19th, 2024.
Tinubu also directed that the agenda of the NEC meeting include amongst others the consideration of a date for non-elective convention to be held before the end of the year, 2024.
