Vanguard reported that his final public appearance was on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at the burial party for Dr. Adesola Taiwo, a prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain and CEO of Adefemi Taiwo Hospitals. A close friend who attended the party with Olakanle expressed shock and devastation at his sudden demise.

Legit earlier reported that Abdulrahman Lekki, an aide to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, reportedly passed away on Wednesday morning, October 30.
The office of the head of the service in the state, in a statement, announced the demise of the aie, adding that he died after a short illness.
According to the state, funeral arrangements for the late Lekki are underway and will soon be announced.
