In a post-match interview with Canal Plus, Saliba said: “It made us feel good when we heard that he wasn’t here. His absence can only help us.”
Dembele was surprisingly omitted from PSG’s squad for the Champions League clash at the Emirates Stadium, following a reported fallout with coach Luis Enrique.
Saliba acknowledged that PSG still posed a significant threat, despite Dembele’s absence.
“We knew that there were other players to make up for his absence, however,” the French defender added.
Arsenal ultimately capitalised on Dembele’s absence, securing a 2-0 victory over PSG.
