She Gave Me The Shock Of My Life After I Gave Her A Lift

She was walking under the sun and was sweating profusely. You could see stains of sweat all over her clothes. I was watching her walk up the hill while cleaning her face once every few seconds. I stopped right beside her and asked where she was headed. She pointed up the hill and said she was going to an office nearby.......➡️CONTINUE READING THE FULL ARTICLES HERE.

I wasn’t going there, but I decided to help her. I told her, “The sun is merciless. If you don’t mind, I can help you get there quickly.”

I opened the door, and she entered. She was panting and still wiping her face. When she was buying water and the seller didn’t have change, I paid. She was grateful and thanked me. It was only a few minutes’ drive, but we talked long enough for me to know how interesting she could be. So when she was alighting, I took her number, which she gave me without hesitation. She thanked me once again and entered the office.

I called her later in the evening, and we talked. The reception was beautiful, the conversation was hearty, the laughter came from the ribs. I told her I wanted to see her again, and she said, “Why not? I could see whenever I was ready.”

The next day, I texted her, but she didn’t respond. I called a few hours later, and she didn’t pick up. I waited until late in the evening when I called again. She didn’t pick up. This continued the next day too. From the way our first conversation went, I didn’t want to believe she was doing that intentionally, but I had to test it to confirm it.

I used my friend’s number to call, and she picked up. I was like, “This is Joel. I’ve been calling your line since yesterday. Is anything the problem?” She asked, “Joel? From where?” I responded, “Oh, I’m the one who gave you a lift down the hill, and we became friends.”

She retorted, “Became friends when? Why are you men like that? So because of the lift you gave me, you won’t let me rest? You said the sun was scorching, so you picked me up only to put me in an oven and yet want what? Haven’t I thanked you enough?”

This girl chuckled and cut the line. I was shocked. “Is it not the same girl who spoke to me nicely the other day? What changed?”

So I texted her, “You called my car an oven when all I did was help you? I was nice to you. I didn’t expect this.” She responded, “Didn’t you see me sweating in your car more than I was while walking? At least I had air outside. If you can’t fix your car’s AC, don’t be picking up people in the sun. That’s not a favour. It’s worse.”

“Girl yi ano ɛya!” I deleted her number quickly and blocked her before she could say more. Since then, when I see them sweating or being beaten by the rain or they can’t get a car to their destination, I drive by silently and peacefully before another comes to tell me my car is a microwave.
