She stated this while speaking to journalists in Benin City, and lamented that the support staff are the ones who virtually do all the jobs in the bank, but end up being treated like a slave.
Osarugue argued, “when I was in the bank, we are the ones that go out to bring in accounts to the banks, however, such accounts are credited to other staffs of the banks.”
While noting that support staff of banks are living like aliens and refugees in their own country, Osarugue called on Managing Directors and Chief Executive officers of banks in the country to consider treating their contract support staff better.

She called on the nation’s human rights community to lend their voice to her campaign for better working environment for support staff.
Continuing, Osarugue said, “I started speaking up about profit sharing with support staff in all our meetings. At one point, I was asked not to raise the issue again.
“I even raised the issue with a bank’s Managing Director on two occasions but he gave me deaf ears.
“I’m doing this because this set of people are living like refugees in Nigeria, they are living as if they are not Nigerians living in their own father’s land.
“I think the support staffers are to be encouraged more, they’ve been working as part of profit making process. When it’s time to share profit, they are asked to leave the room.
“I’m using this medium to appeal to Managing Directors and Chief Executive Officers of banks. I’m calling on every well meaning Nigerians to lend their voice to this.
“I’m calling on AY, Very Dark Man, Deji Adeyanju, Sowore, to please lend their voices to this plea.
“These people are never going to be able to speak up. They cannot even vote on election day because they work every day- from Sunday to Sunday.
“This is an appeal for banks to add this set of people to their profit sharing scheme. Help me tag anybody you know that is a social media influencer. These people are your brothers and sisters”, she appealed.
