[BREAKING] Opunabo Tariah: Fubara Will Secure Second Term, Despite Wike’s Opposition

In response to recent comments made by Wike in an interview, Opunabo highlighted that Fubara’s “mass-oriented projects” across the state’s 23 local government areas have earned him significant support from the people.

He insisted that no one, including Wike, would be able to prevent Fubara from running and winning again.

“Power comes from God,” Opunabo said. “Wike governed for eight years, and Rotimi Amaechi also governed for eight years. It’s only fair that Fubara serves two terms.”

Opunabo dismissed Wike’s claim that Fubara was “lawless” and had disregarded the presidential 8-point peace accord, describing the agreement as “skewed” and “lopsided” in favor of Wike’s interests.

He also emphasized that while Fubara has expressed gratitude to Wike for his support during the election, he would not allow himself to be dictated to by the former governor.

“Fubara will not compromise the state’s treasury to appease Wike’s interests,” Opunabo added.

The comments reflect growing tensions between Wike and Fubara, as Wike recently declared that he would not back Fubara’s re-election bid.
