Suspected assassins returned to the streets of Enugu on Saturday night and killed the Chairman of the Ogbete Main Market Traders’ Association (OMMATA), Stephen Aniagu.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Guardian gathered that Aniagu was shot at the Moses Ogbodo junction near Topland Market in the Amaechi area of Enugu south local government.
A source close to the scene stated that Aniagu was likely on his way home after the market closed for the day when he was gunned down around 8:00 pm.
“We heard gunshots and ran for safety. When we emerged from hiding a few minutes later, we found his lifeless body on the ground, and his car was missing,” he said.
“His body was riddled with bullets; he was shot multiple times by his attacker.”
Residents gathered at the scene of the lifeless body of the market leader Saturday night to lament the unfortunate incident.
Efforts to get Police reaction to the incident on Saturday night proved abortive.
