BREAKING: Three Rescued Students From Collapsed Hostel In Stable Condition, Says UNIBEN Management

A statement by the man­agement of the University stated that the three rescued students who were rushed to the hospital are in stable con­dition.

According to the state­ment, “Three students of the University of Benin who were rescued from the collapsed storey building at Ekosodin neighbouring community are in stable condition in the hospital.”

Reports indicated that the building, where the students resided, collapsed on Satur­day morning following the downpour which began Fri­day afternoon.

According to the reports, no life was lost.

Reports also have it that the rescue team, comprising staff of the Security and Fire Service departments, the Health Centre, students as well as the Police, succeeded in rescuing the students who were first taken to the insti­tution’s Health Centre before two of them were later taken to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital.
