Super Eagles forwards Samuel Chukwueze and Victor Boniface were among the latest arrivals, alongside Jordan Torunarigha, Moses Simon, Raphael Onyedika, and goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali.

Their arrival boosts Nigeria’s preparations as the team looks to turn around their faltering World Cup qualifying campaign.

The Nigerian squad initially began assembling in Rwanda on Sunday night, with six players and team staff welcomed by Nigeria’s Ambassador to Rwanda, Aishatu Aliyu Musa.

Among the early arrivals were key figures such as Victor Osimhen, Tolu Arokodare, Bruno Onyemaechi, goalkeepers Amas Obasogie and Kayode Bankole, and midfielder Papa Daniel Mustapha.

With the latest additions, head coach Eric Chelle now has 12 players in camp, with more expected to join by Tuesday morning.

The team wasted no time and kicked off their training sessions on Monday, beginning with a gym workout as they gear up for the crucial fixture at the Amahoro Stadium.

Nigeria is currently in a precarious position in Group C, sitting in fifth place with just three points from four games; four points behind group leaders Rwanda.

With their World Cup qualification hopes on the line, the Super Eagles will be desperate to secure all three points on Friday and break their winless streak against the Wasps.

Head coach Eric Chelle will be hoping his team can deliver a strong performance to keep their qualification chances alive and restore confidence in the squad.

More players are expected to arrive by Tuesday, ensuring Nigeria has a full-strength squad ready for the must-win encounter.
