An old video featuring Nigerian social media personality Verydarkman (VDM) harshly criticizing the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has resurfaced and is rapidly spreading across social media platforms.
The resurfaced clip comes shortly after VDM’s recent arrest by police and EFCC officials on Friday, May 1. His detainment occurred not long after he shared a video online showing himself and his mother at a GTBank branch, where they were reportedly disputing unexplained deductions from her salary account related to a loan she allegedly never received.
In the resurfaced footage, the outspoken TikToker boldly accused the EFCC of widespread corruption, claiming that 90% of its personnel were involved in unethical activities. He further asserted his willingness to present evidence in court to support his allegations.
The viral video has sparked public debate, with many speculating that his previous criticism of the anti-graft agency may have influenced his recent arrest.
