Arch. Yakubu appeared before the house during yesterday’s plenary presided over by the speaker, Hon. Ismail Falgore, for screening and approval as requested by the state governor, Abba Yusuf, through a letter he sent to the house on Monday.
When he appeared before the house, he presented his curriculum vitae, after which he responded to questions filed by some members on how he has fared since his appointment as the managing director of the Kano State Urban Planning and Development Authority (KNUPDA) highlighting his major achievements and the developments he has brought to the state through the agency.
The speaker however urged him to do more for the development of the state and requested him to take a bow and depart.
After careful deliberations in the committee of the whole house on a bill and the matter, the house unanimously agreed to approve his appointment.
Speaking to Journalists shortly after his screening, the nominee assured them of doing his best in all the assignments he would be assigned, promising to use his experiences to bring development and move the state forward to achieve the mandates of the present administration.
