Wabara stated this in Abuja on Wednesday at the opening of an emergency meeting organised at repositioning the party.

The BoT Chair, who thanked the governors for choosing the new date, reminded the gathering that Nigerians are eagerly awaiting the outcome of the meeting.

He stated further: “NEC would be a moment for critical deliberations on pressing issues within our party and our resolve to offer a renewed vision for our country.

“Despite challenges, our party still remains people’s choice capable of restoring hope and prosperity to Nigeria.

“While we look ahead with optimism, we must look at what transpired at the last BoT meeting.

“Ordinarily, our secretariat should be a secured place for party affairs, but for now, we can not compromise our security, and until the security situation improves, our meeting will be held outside the secretariat
