Despite the region’s support for President Bola Tinubu in the 2023 elections, Dokubo claims the Yorubas have failed to reciprocate this support.

In a recent video statement, Dokubo apologized to former Rivers State Governor Melford Okilo and other regional leaders for previously questioning their decision to collaborate with the North.
