The committee and elders led by Senator Muhammed Mana, also vowed to surmount every obstacle along the way to reclaim the seat and elective positions from the State’s ruling party, PDP, in the 2027 elections.
The divisions in the State chapter recently, which led to the setting up of a reconciliation committee to unite the party by the National Secretariat.
The eight-member reconciliation team comprised prominent politicians like Senators Bello Tukur, Abubakar Girei, Binta Masi, Yusuf Buba Yakubu, Bridget Zidon, and Isa Baba, who serves as Secretary.
Speaking with newsmen after a closed door meeting at the APC national secretariat in Abuja, Senator Mana, the committee chairman disclosed the party’s National Chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has given the committee task to resolve all internal disputes and unify members.
He further emphasised that the committee will focus on engaging aggrieved members, rebuilding grassroots connections, and strengthening the party’s structure, noting: “Adamawa is a critical state, and we are committed to ensuring APC wins majority seats in 2027. We will reach out to those who felt sidelined during the primaries and general elections to unify the party under the APC banner. Our goal is to create a platform for unity and prepare the next generation of leaders.”
Similarly, Binta Masi, on his side, expressed confidence in the committee’s efforts, stressing; “The battle line has been drawn, and by Allah’s grace, we will replicate our past successes in 2027.”
On Atiku posing a threat to their efforts to actualise their target, all the stakeholders echoed: “Atiku was there before when APC was in charge. He will not be a threat to APC reclaiming the governorship seat by 2027.”
Speaking further, Binta said: “Like the chairman said, he’s a man of proven integrity, and virtually all of us that are here. We believe that we cannot move forward if we are not together, binded together. And as we are moving now, a lot of people have starting seeing that indeed there is light in the tunnel, and people are coming back.”
