The Chairman of the Club, Mr Chukwuma Ezeamama, who made the call at a meeting with the leadership of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Anambra state chapter in Awka, Tuesday, noted that governor Chukwuma Soludo’s efforts to realise the aim after 30 years needed to be complemented by the citizens.

“The essence of a state investing in sports and owning a football club in particular is not to make profit but to project the image of the state, that is why I want to thank governor Soludo for giving Anambra this football Club. We are currently in the Nigeria National League, Anambra is overdue to be the Nigeria Professional Football League, it may look difficult but it is possible that is why we are asking for all the help we can get.

“Promotion will surely happen, I want to thank SWAN for the interest they have shown in what we are doing and I want to assure you that we are ready to partner with you. I also want the people of Anambra to see Solution FC as a business they want to invest in or use to promote their businesses. But I admit that the club is also having challenges even from people from this state,” he said.

Earlier, the state SWAN Chairman, Comrade Chimezie Anaso, commended Solution FC management for keeping the club competitive since its two years of existence, assuring commitment of the sporting media to move the club forward.

“As the media, we want to assure you that we will tell your stories, entertain enthusiasts, provide criticisms and keep you on your toes to ensure the people of Anambra get the best value out of this huge investment,” he said.
